Adrić Ivo

Adrić Ivo was born in 1892 and died in1975. He was a Yugoslav writer, Noble laureate, his works were translated to many languages. In 1912-1914 he was studying at Jagiellonian University, where his teachers were Stanisław Windakiewicz, Ignacy Chrzanowski, Marian Zdziechowski, Michał Sobieski. While in Krakow Ivo was living at Bonerowska St 12. At the beginning of the WWII Ivo Adrić was a Yugoslav ambassador in Berlin. After Sonderaktion Krakau, that took place in November 1939, he took action to save Polish professors and scientists, mostly those from Jagiellonian University, who were imprisoned in Nazi camp Sachsenhausen.
