The first Polish ensemble performing exclusively contemporary and avant-garde music, founded in 1962 on the initiative of Adam Kaczyński – a pianist and composer. They created music with elements of acting, fine arts and ballet. He is one of the first Polish performers of graphic music, instrumental theater and a musical happening. The ensemble performed works by Polish and foreign composers, performed in 20 countries, and took part in 79 international music festivals. The team and members have received many awards, including Prize at the International Competition for Young Performers of Contemporary Music in Utrecht in 1965.
