Korpal Michał Adam was a sculptor. He was born in 1825 and was the father of Michał Stefan Korpal. He performed his work rather anonymously. There are assumptions that some of the old tombstones on the Rakowicki Cemetery were made by him. He participated in an underground gathering of volunteers for the January Uprising. Then he was shot by the Austrian gendarmerie in 1863. He is buried at the Rakowicki Cemetery. A stone kneeling angel on his grave was probably made by the sculptor himself.
