Rostwordowski Emanuel Mateusz

Historian born and died in Kraków. Karol Hubert’s son, during the occupation he was a history student at the Philosophy Department of the secret Jagiellonian University. From 1955 he was a researcher at the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences, from 1961 professor M. in 1961 – 1964 head of the Laboratory of International Relations of the Polish Academy of Sciences, from 1964 head of the Department of the Polish Biographical Dictionary and editor-in-chief of the Dictionary. From 1966, a member of the Historical Sciences Commission. He specialized mainly in the history of the eighteenth century. His works include, among others. “Opolska Korona”, “Ashes and Roots – Historical and Family Sketches”
