Sidzina

Former village, today a suburb located on the southern highway route of Krakow. It is one of the oldest settlements near Krakow, recorded as early as 1105, when it belonged to the Tyniec Abbey. On the slope of the hill called Babice, brine flowed, from which the Tyniec nuns obtained salt by the method of brewing, but in the 15th century the spring was dry and it was already producing brines. To this day, a classicist mansion from the 19th century and a 2.5-hectare park designed in the Italian style have been preserved in Sidzina.
