Daun Alfred was a Polish sculptor, born in 1854 in Baranów and died in 1922 in Krakow. He graduated the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1878 and worked in Stanisław Wyspiański workshop, and later in Vienna. Starting from 1897 he was teaching sculpture in the Academy of Fine Arts, and later worked as a teacher of drawing and modeling in a School of Industry in Krakow.
Daun Alfred is an author of several monuments and sculptures in Krakow:
- Monument of Lilia Weneda;
- Sculpture of Grażyna and Litawór at Planty park, heroes of one of Adam Mickiewicz works;
- Number of busts of famous Poles for Henryk Jordan Park;
- Sculptors symbolizing Music, Opera and Operetta for J. Słowackiego Theatre
One of the streets at Wola Duchacka district in Krakow was named after Alfred Daun.
