Jachimecki Zdzisław was a musicologist, art historian and composer, born in 1882 in Lviv. He died in 1953 in Krakow. He studied in Vienna for 4 years, and later lectured at the Jagiellonian University. He has published in various scientific journals, encyclopedias and dictionaries. He also composed choral and solo songs and was a conductor.
His main works are:

- “History of Polish music in outline”
- monographs of S. Moniuszko, Fr. Chopin, K. Szymanowski, W. Żeleński, W. A. Mozart, J. Haydn, R. Wagner and others.
Zdzisław Jachimecki lived in Krakow at 47 Grodzka Street with his wife Zofia. She was an expert and translator of Italian literature and a great lover of theaters.
