Because of the coronavirus, the Polish government introduced nationwide special precautionary measures. From Friday the 13th until at least April 26 all institutions, cultural venues like cinemas, museums and theatres, across all of Poland. 22nd Bach Days in Krakow, 13-19.03.2017

Since 1995, every March the Academy of Music in Krakow hosts Bach Days. For a few days, everyone is welcome to come and listen to acclaimed artists’ performances of music of one of the greatest composers of all time – Johann Sebastian Bach. 

Each year, there is a different leitmotif of the festival. Therefore, the audience have an opportunity not only to listen to great performances of extraordinary Baroque music, but also to get to know circumstances in which Bach composed or what influenced his creative output.

During Bach Days in Krakow concerts take place in Aula Florianka in the Academy of Music. Performers include students and alumni of the Academy, but also renowned artists from abroad. There are concerts once a day, and the last day of the festival sees the grand finale of Bach Days in Krakow with astonishing performance of the Baroque Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Krakow.
