Because of the coronavirus, the Polish government introduced nationwide special precautionary measures. From Friday the 13th until at least March 25 all institutions, cultural venues like cinemas, museums and theatres, across all of Poland. Is Auschwitz open on Sundays?

Yes, the Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau former german nazi concentration and extermination camp is open seven days a week, from 7:30 AM. Closing hours depend on particular months:

    • December – 2:00 PM
    • January, November – 3:00 PM
    • February – 4:00 PM
    • March, October – 5:00 PM
    • April, May, September – 6:00 PM
    • June, July, August – 7:00 PM

January 1, December 25, and Easter Sunday are the only days when the Museum is closed.
