Korpal Michał Adam was a sculptor. He was born in 1825 and was the father of Michał Stefan Korpal. He performed his work rather anonymously. There are assumptions that some of the old tombstones on the Rakowicki Cemetery were made by him. He participated in an underground gathering of volunteers for the January Uprising. Then he was shot by the Austrian gendarmerie in 1863. He is buried at the Rakowicki Cemetery. A stone kneeling angel on his grave was probably made by the sculptor himself.

Jałbrzykowska Agnieszka

Jałbrzykowska Agnieszka, born in 1818, was a resident of Podgórze, today one of Krakow‘s districts. In 1887 she was, as the first woman in Krakow, officially recognized as an Honorary Citizen of the City of Podgórze for promoting education. For over 50 years she kept a female salary in Podgórze.
