Rolle Karol was born in Kamieniec Podolski in 1871. Before his life path crossed with Krakow, Karol graduated from Technical University in Lwow; between 1889 and 1893, he studied chemistry. After graduation and few years of a trainee, Rolle becomes a director of the National Pottery Workshop in 1895.
In 1899 he moved to Podgórze in the suburbs of Krakow.
Between 1900 and 1914, Rolle was served as director of a local pottery school. He was also a member of multiple societies and organizations; in 1901 established a magazine called “Przegląd ceramiczny” (Ceramic review).
Rolle was also the city councilman of Podgórze; in 1913, he becomes deputy mayor. After involving Podgórze in Krakow borders in 1915, Karol was promoted as a council member of Krakow and then its deputy mayor until 1926, when he becomes president of Krakow.
Rolle was part of various societies during his lifetime, co-author of few definitions in the “Polish biographical dictionary.” Honored with “Silesian Star” medal for participation in Assembly.
Died in Krakow in 1954.
