St. Benedict Church

St. Benedict Church is located on Lasota Hill, near the Krakus Mound in Krakow. The church is small, built in the Romanesque-Gothic style. In the past, it was only opened twice a year: for an indulgence on the feast of St. Benedict and on the first Tuesday after Easter during the Rękawka ceremony. Currently, it can be visited on all Saturdays of holidays.

The first records of the church date back to the 13th century, but research indicates that a palas and a rotunda probably existed in this place as early as the 11th century.
