Jadwiga from Łobzów - krakow.wiki

Jadwiga from Łobzów was a poet, teacher and community worker. Her real name is Jadwiga z Zubrzyckich Strokowej and she was born in 1854 in Tłuste. She was an activist of the Folk School Society (Polish: Towarzystwo Szkoły Ludowej), as well as the author of many books for children and teenagers as well as patriotic poems. One of the streets in Bronowice, which is now a district of Krakow, was named after her. She died in 1916 and was buried at the Rakowice cemetery in Kraków.
