Lawyer, doctor, humanist born in Nuremberg. He made many trips, first to Italy and then to the north of Flanders. In Germany, he had many friends among scholars and artists. He is the author of the work “Liber cronicarum“. The Chronicle contains many woodcuts made by the greatest graphic artists of the era. The figures show maps, cityscapes, including, for the first time, Kraków, Nysa and Wrocław. Since Schedel never visited Krakow, there is a presumption that Konrad Celtis was his main informant. There are three copies of this work in Poland.
